The complete form of sync is synchronization. Sync is created by Google.
With your e-mail, you can view or use synced things on any device at any time.

  • What Does Sync
Sync saves your data to Google servers and updates to Google servers at regular intervals.
when you save a contact number in your phone, then that number is saved in your phone as well as in your Google server, which you can use on any device with your Gmail-id.
All the data from the apps you sync will be added to the Google server. Suppose you use Chrome Web and create an account on a site and save that ID and password in Chrome, If sync is on, then this information is saved on both your Chrome and Google servers.
if sync is off, all data will only be saved on your phone.

  • Sync Advantage
If your phone ever gets damaged or lost, you can get your data back, for this, you need to put the same email id in another phone and your synced data will come in your other phone.
  • How to turn sync on or off
First, go to the phone settings, then click on Accounts & Sync, after this, you will see many options.
You can sync your phone contact, Gmail, Calendar, and People details from here by clicking on Google.
Apart from Google, you can also sync apps, for this, go to the add account and add it and click sync.
